LAHORE, Pakistan: The Director General Trade Development Authority of Pakistan (TDAP) Mian Riaz Ahmed has said that TDAP is endeavoring to form an effective liaison with private and public stakeholders to promote national trade at international business markets with the purpose to add their contribution in the national development.

While addressing a group of officers of National Institute of Management (NIM) Peshawar in Lahore, Mian Riaz Ahmed apprised the delegation about TDAP role in the development of Pakistan’s external trade and illustrated about the working functions of the organization.

The director general TDAP said that Pakistan was facing challenges in enhancing export growth.

“Being the premier export organization in the country, we at TDAP are working to strengthen the supply base including exporters’ capabilities and capacities through seminars, workshops and regular research,” he said.

“TDAP is also following a marketing strategy to diversify our export regime.”

During the question answer session, it was observed that Pakistan is having low regional trade integration with the SAARC countries and it was mutually opined that regional trade needs to be enhanced in order to improve the trade scale of the country.

The Director General Sub Regional Offices TDAP Shazia Akram, Directors TDAP Nauman Aslam, Nudrat Hussain and Muhammad Irfan were also present during the meeting.

The delegates thanked the director general TDAP Lahore for hospitality and knowledge orientation.
