ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: The Chairman Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Imran Khan has strongly condemned maltreatment of Awami Muslim League (AML) Chief Sheikh Rasheed Ahmed by a Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) worker, saying it was a planned incident.
On Thursday, a PML-N worker Malik Noor Awan intercepted the AML Chief at the Parliament House in Islamabad, demanding him to return his Rs 2.2 million, which according to him, Sheikh Rasheed had taken about 15 years ago as a loan to purchase a vehicle.
“Let’s not forget this is the same N league that attacked the Supreme Court and sent briefcases full of money to judges,” Imran Khan said while talking to media outside his residence in Bani Gala on Friday.
Talking about the Panama Case, Imran Khan said that if Sharif family had any money trails and legitimate proof of their business, it would have presented it in the Supreme Court but they have nothing.
The PTI Chief said that he has told all PTI workers to be ready for defending and standing with the Supreme Court because we anticipate that PML-N activists are going to try and attack the apex court. He said that their verbal attacks are already on but, he added, they should remember this is not the 1990s.
Imran Khan said that PML-N leaders have no loyal workers, they use Punjab police to exert their force on people because their own so called workers abandon them in their bad times.
