Punjab government approves funds to complete Parking Plaza at Gujranwala
Lahore, Pakistan: The Punjab Provincial Development Working Party has approved Rs. 500 million to complete under construction Parking Plaza at G.T Road, Gujranwala.
The construction of 11-storeyed Parking Plaza at G.T Road, Gujranwala was started in year 2014 with an estimate cost of 270 million and now cost had gone high to almost double of estimated cost because work was halted on project due to lack of funds.
According to details, Punjab Provincial Development Working Party has approved three development schemes of various sectors with an estimated cost of Rs.3339 million in a meeting held here on Wednesday.
The scheme of urban sewerage and drainage system along with construction of brick pavements in Bhakkar City was also approved with an estimated cost of Rs. 1039.216 million.
Provincial Secretary P&D Iftikhar Ali Sahoo, All Members of the Planning & Development Board, Provincial Secretaries concerned and other senior representatives of the relevant Provincial Departments also attended the meeting.
These schemes were approved in the 75th meeting of Provincial Development Working Party (PDWP) of current fiscal year 2016-17 presided over the Chairman P&D Muhammad Jahanzeb Khan.
The approved development schemes included: Construction of Parking Paza G.T Road, Gujranwal (Revised) at the cost of Rs. 499.450 million, Detailed Design and Construction Supervision of Water Supply System, Gujrat (Vol-I&II) (Revised) at the cost of Rs. 776.310 million, Water Supply Scheme Chakwal Based on Khai Dam (Revised) at the cost of Rs. 1023.865 million and Urban Sewerage / Drainage PCC Slab & Brick Pavement in Bhakkar City at the cost of Rs. 1039.216 million.
