QUETTA, Pakistan: The death toll in a Car Bomb Explosion on Gulistan Road area of Quetta has risen to 13 which also includes six security personnel.

Police sources said that 19 people also received injuries as a result of blast which occurred on Friday morning at Shuhada Chowk in Quetta, Close to the Inspector General Police Ehsan Mehboob’s Office.

Sources said that a Car was used on the blast which had been registered in Karachi.

The dead bodies and injured were shifted to Quetta Civil Hospital where an emergency had already been declared.

The law enforcement agencies (LEAs) cordoned off the entire area. However, the intensity of blast was yet to be determined.

Meanwhile, President Mamnoon Hussain and Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif strongly condemned the Quetta blast and expressed grief over the loss of precious human lives. They expressed heartfelt sympathies to the bereaved families.

The prime minister directed the Balochistan government to provide best medical facilities to the injured. He said that terrorists deserve no mercy, and they will very soon meet their end.

The State Minister for Information and Broadcasting Maryam Aurangzeb also condemned the Quetta blast, and said that that such anti-people activities can not weaken the motivation and determination of the Nation.

“We are proud of our Martyrs who have been sacrificing their lives to save our future,” Maryam Aurangzeb said.

Likewise, the Interior Minister Chaudhary Nisar Ali Khan also strongly condemned blast in Quetta and directed the concerned quarters to submit an inquiry report into the tragic incident.

In a statement, the minister expressed sympathies with the families of the bereaved people. He also prayed for early recovery of the injured.
