Eid Mubarak Messages
Lahore: During the technological revolution during the recent years have minimized the traditional Eid greeting which was sent via post. Nowadays broadcasting messages via WhatsApp SMS or Facebook is a new way of sending Eid greetings.
The Millennials can easily recall that before the technological/social media revolution Eid was a signified event for bringing of people, families, friends together, meeting one another in person or visiting each other’s homes during the EID festival.
In recent times, it has been noticed that nowadays, fewer and fewer people prefer to visit houses during Eid days. Rather, they enjoy a couple of taps on their mobile phones, typing few words “Eid Mubarak” followed by the sender’s name, then the message is broadcasted automatically to a list of selected contacts. The sad part is that the Eid greetings over the phone are not even tailored personally. It’s more like a public announcement.
