ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Mir Hazar Khan Khosa has said that Constitution provides a single-point mandate to the Caretaker Government to conduct free‚ fair and transparent elections.

Addressing the cabinet meeting in Islamabad today the Prime Minister pledged to act in a non-partisan manner and assist the Election Commission

He condemned the recent wave of terrorism in Karachi and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa‚ Balochistan and said that the culprits of these terrorists act will be brought to book soon.

He said the Government sympathizes with all the bereaved families and pray for early recovery of the injured.

The Cabinet directed the law enforcing agencies to beef up the security. It also urged the Provincial Governments to keep a vigil on any suspicious activity and evolve a mechanism to counter any such terrorist act with iron hand.

He said the Federal Government would extend all out assistance to the Provincial Governments and all possible measures would be taken to improve the law and order situation in the country.

The Prime Minister assured the Nation that sincere efforts are being made to bring normalcy in the country.

Talking to Federal Minister for Production Shahzada Ahsan Ashraf Sheikh‚ Prime Minister Mir Hazar Khan Khoso has asked the Ministry of Production to encourage manpower training in specialized areas.

The Minister briefed the Prime Minister on the working and functions of the Ministry.
