ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: The Pakistan Tourism Development Corporation (PTDC) has finalized its strategy to cater the tourists during Eid holidays as the flow of the tourists towards northern areas automatically rises up.
“The growth in tourists visiting these (northern) areas increased by 40% as compared to last year due to measures taken by government, the Managing Director PTDC Chaudhry Abdul Ghafoor said on Tuesday.
The managing director said the PTDC planned to further streamline facilities for tourists in various destinations.
Chaudhry Ghafoor further said tourism had revived in beautiful Swat Valley due to better law and order improved road infrastructure in its upper parts during the current season Swat being the most visited place around 0.6 million tourists.
“Hotels were fully packed and even locals rented their guest houses to accommodate those who could not find rooms in hotels”, he added.
The MD PTDC said public transport were also available to Kalam from Mingora, number of tourists would also visit Swat during Eid holidays as people would like to enjoy Eid with their family and friends.
Meanwhile, a tourist Rizwan Ahmed said no doubt people were saying right that Swat is the second Switzerland of Pakistan, and there was complete peace police was vigilant and providing full security to tourists.
