Lahore, Pakistan: Final match between Pakistan and World XI just to begin and around 25, 000 spectators are already gathered in Gaddafi Stadium Lahore to watch World XI T20 Final today (September 15) in Gaddafi Stadium Lahore has total capacity of 27,000 spectators.
All gates of Gaddafi Stadium Lahore were shut down at 5 pm today and seats were filled by 6.30 pm.
According to data available with Dispatch News Desk (DND) News Agency, over 10,000 girls and boys are watching today’s World XI T20 Final.
Students of Kinnaird College for Women Lahore reached Gaddafi Stadium Lahore in groups while students of F.C College also reached stadium in a procession carrying flags of Pakistan. Students are painting their faces with Pakistani flag colours and most of them are also wearing shirts of Pakistani flag.
Exceptionally tight security is in place in 3 kilometre radius area around the Gaddafi Stadium. Five top intelligence agencies with over 2,000 staff are keeping eyes on security arrangements of Lahore Police and Stadium security system.
Authorities responsible for security arrangements are rechecking national identification cards (CNIC) of every spectator entering the stadium through live-on-NADRA software. When a ticket holder shows his/her ticket to security person standing at gate, security person checks validity of the ticket with an electronic device and then enter the CNIC number in another electronic device and identification of person with photo and CNIC details appear on the device screen and then security NADRA has given special access to security authorities of Lahore for checking data base for confirmation of validity of CNIC of persons who want to enter the stadium. If CNIC data is showing different photo then of person possessing the card, police immediate take the person into custody. Over 10,000 policemen in uniform and plain clothes are on duty in and around Gaddafi Stadium (which is also known as Qazzafi Stadium).
