PoliticsPML-N holds unshakeable faith in finality of Prophethood: Shahbaz Sharif

LAHORE, Pakistan: The Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif on Saturday said Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) held unshakeable faith in the finality of the Prophethood.

While talking to a delegation of Ulema in Lahore, the Chief Minister said the Constitution had also endorsed the faith in the finality of the Prophethood. He said it was still so and it would remain intact because that belief was the basic part of their religion.

Shahbaz Sharif said every Muslim had complete faith in the finality of the Prophethood. He said any person who didn’t have faith in the finality of the Prophethood was expelled from Islam.

The Chief Minister said the life of the Prophet (PBUH) was a great example for all of Muslims to follow. He said Ulema should have spread the teachings of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) in their sermons.

Furthermore, he said swift action was taken when a mistake regarding the finality of the Prophethood was pointed out in a clause of Election Reforms Act 2017. He said the oath had been restored to its original shape and the Parliament had corrected the concerned law in that regard.

The Punjab Chief Minister said he had given swift statement in that regard, and he stood by that statement. He said he had said ‘who has done this sacrilegious, send him packing’.

The Ulema delegating included the Minister of State for Religious Affairs Pir Amin-ul-Hasnat Shah, Maulana Ghulam Muhammad Siyalvi, Pir Aijaz Hashmi, Maulana Dr. Raghib Hussain Naeemi, Pir Syed Tahir Saeed Kazmi, Mufti Intekhab Ahmed, Pirzada Usman, Mufi Muhammad Ramazan Siyalvi, Mufti Muhammad Haseeb Qadri, Mufti Imran Hanfi, Maulana Abdul Mustafa Hazarvi, Maulana Muhammad Ali Naqshbandi and others.

The Provincial Ministers Rana Sanaullah, Syed Zaeem Qadri, Chief Secretary, Additional Chief Secretary Home, Inspector General of Police (IGP) and concerning officials were present on the occasion.
