ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: Pakistan Tourism Development Corporation (PTDC) would set up appropriate accommodation facilities for intending pilgrims across the globe at the sacred places of Sikh community in the Country.

Talking to the state-run news agency, the Managing Director PTDC Chaudhry Abdul Ghafoor said that the corporation was also working on plan to soften the visa policy for those who intend to visit Sikh community religious places in Pakistan.

The managing director PTDC said that with the increase of these facilities religious tourism will promote in the Country. He said that there were suggestions from the Sikh community to increase accommodation facilities for Sikh pilgrims in Pakistan as they feel very comfortable during visit to their religious places in Pakistan due to the hospitality of Pakistani people.

Chaudhry Abdul Ghafoor said that there were several sacred places of Sikhs, Buddhism and Hindus community across Pakistan. He added that there were many sacred temple sanctuaries located in Pakistan, among which were Katas Temples and Hanglaj Temple in Balochistan.

Ghafoor said that Pakistan is a fully secure and tourist friendly country where people from every religion can perform their religious rituals without any fear. He added the government was committed to providing security to them.
