ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: Islamabad Chamber of Commerce and Industry (ICCI) on Thursday called upon the local administration and police to provide foolproof security arrangements on the occasion of Eid Milad un Nabi (PBUH) in commercial centers and markets of the federal capital so that business community and citizens could celebrate this auspicious occasion in a peaceful and secure environment with religious fervor and zeal.
“With the commendable efforts of government security apparatus and the Pakistan Army, law and order situation has improved significantly in the country due to which business and investment activities were on the revival,” President ICCI Sheikh Amir Waheed said in a statement.
He said China Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) has initiated many developmental projects in energy, infrastructure and other fields. However, many powers were bent upon disturbing peace and derail economy if different ways.
He urged that the local administration and police should deploy more police force at key religious places and markets to avoid any untoward incident.
He also stressed upon the business community to keep close watch on doubtful activities and extend full cooperation to police in its efforts aimed at establishing peace in the city.
Senior Vice President of ICCI Muhammad Naveed said that the whole nation was preparing to celebrate the birthday of Holy Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) and reiterated that business community would also celebrate Eid Milad un Nabi with religious fervor and zeal.
He said the Holy Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) was Himself a trader and he set high standards of honesty and integrity in trade for others. He said that the business community could better promote business activities by acting upon the principles of trade set by the Holy Prophet Muhammad (PBUH).
He said the best way to steer the economy out of troubles and put it on the path of sustainable economic growth was to fully act upon the teachings of the Holy Prophet Muhammad (PBUH).
