ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) leader Captain (retd) Muhammad Safdar has said that Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan has promoted Western agenda in Pakistan as changing the condition of police stations, hospitals and roads is not development.
Talking to media outside the accountability court in Islamabad on Tuesday, he said that the agreement with a religious group sit-in was made ‘somewhere else’.
“Had the agreement been with government, the protestors would not have waited for 22 days. The agreement happened from somewhere else,” he said, adding that there were many hands behind the religious group’s protest against the government.
Without specifically pointing finger towards any individual or institution Captain (retd) Safdar said that prime ministers like Moeen Qureshi and Shaukat Aziz are required here but henceforth such precedents would not continue.
The PML-N leader said that troubles always are faced by upright persons. He said that Nawaz Sharif was disqualified for being ‘made in Pakistan’. He claimed that “corrupt officials” launched investigation against Sharif family.
Captain (retd) Safdar said that he will not allow grade 19 officers to disrespect the parliament.
The PML-N leader said that according to the Charter of Democracy, he would not say anything against Bilawal Bhutto Zardari.
“PPP is a democratic party, I would not utter anything against Bilawal,” he added.
