Senior journalist and anchorperson Iftikhar Ahmad receives life threats
Lahore, Pakistan: Senior journalist and anchorperson Iftikhar Ahmad has received life threats from a twitter handle @MUmarLQT (Muhammad UmarLiaquat).
The matter has been reported to concerned authorities after receiving a complaint from senior journalist and anchorperson who works with Jang Group of Publication.
Twitter handle @MUmarLQT in a message to journalist Iftikhar Ahmed said that “I wud like to see your bullet ridden body ASAP”.

Lahore Press Club in a protest message said demanded government to investigate life threats to Iftikhar Ahmed and book the culprit.
Pakistan has become one of the most dangerous countries for journalists during the last one decade and cyber abuse has become a serious issues for working journalists while government has yet to take appropriate measures to snub such cyber threats against working journalists.
Journalists in Pakistan are facing physical assaults, threats and persecution without tracking down culprits.
When contacted by Dispatch News Desk DND) News Agency, Iftikhar Ahmed said that he had reported the incident to concerned authorities and it is the responsibility of the State to protect its citizens including journalists.
