ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: The State Minister for Finance Rana Muhammad Afzal Khan Wednesday said that international best practices are being adopted to conduct survey in the country about deserving women in Benazir Income Support Programme (BISP) and information is being collected from door to door.
While responding to a Calling Attention Notice regarding procedure and non-inclusion of poor and deserving women in the survey under Benazir Income Support Programme (BISP), the minister said that pilot project has been completed while all preparations had been completed to conduct survey in entire country through effective planning.
The finance minister said that third party evaluation would be done after collecting the data and missing persons would have access to register their complaints through an effective compliant redressal system.
The minister said that all complaints would be addressed before closing survey while awareness campaign through media would be launched for registration of the names.
Rana Afzal said that there has been 1.8 million people being benefited through this program and this number would be increased further.
