Government of PakistanPakistan seriously concerned over Indian atrocities in Occupied Kashmir: Asif

ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: The Foreign Minister Khawaja Asif on Friday said the Indian Occupation Forces’ brutalities and human rights atrocities continued unabated in the Indian Occupied Kashmir.

“We have severe concern over Indian atrocities in IOK (Indian Occupied Kashmir),” Asif said in his written reply in Senate Session which began on Friday with Mian Raza Rabbani in the Chair.

Khawaja Asif said the government of Pakistan was following a policy of establishing good relations with all Countries of the world.

The minister said Pakistan wanted to resolve all issues with India including Kashmir issue through result-oriented dialogue. However, he added, India didn’t answer their friendship proposals. He said during Indian foreign minister’s visit to Pakistan, both sides were agreed for holding peace dialogues.

The foreign minister further said India intentionally created tension at the Line of Control (LoC) and Working Boundary by violating ceasefire agreement.

Earlier on Thursday, the Foreign Office Spokesperson Dr Muhammad Faisal said in his weekly press briefing in Islamabad that miseries of the people in Indian Occupied Kashmir had increased manifolds as the Indian Occupation Forces had increased surprise frisking and checking across the valley in the name of so-called security measures.

The Spokesperson said on Wednesday night, three more innocent and defenseless Kashmiris including an eight-year-old girl named Asifa Bano were martyred mercilessly.

Dr Faisal said the Indian Occupation Forces also forcibly barged into several random houses, beat the residents and damaged the properties in Kulgam area.

“We strongly condemn the Indian human rights violations in IOK and urge the international community, including the UN, to take immediate action and call upon India to immediately halt the grave violations in IOK,” he said.
