MUZAFFARABAD, Pakistan: Prime Minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi on Monday said the whole Pakistani nation including political parties stood united on Kashmir issue despite having political differences.
“We are proud of our Kashmiri brethren,” the prime minister said while addressing the Joint Session of Azad Jammu & Kashmir (AJK) Legislative Assembly and AJK Council in Muzaffarabad on Kashmir Solidarity Day being observed across Pakistan with a pledge to seek a solution to Kashmir dispute according to United Nations resolutions and aspirations of the Kashmiri people.
The prime minister said Pakistan was united with people of Kashmir for their right of self-determination. He said Pakistan would continue moral and diplomatic support of Kashmiris.
Shahid Khaqan Abbasi said the International Community must take notice of Indian atrocities in Kashmir. He said Kashmir issue needed to be resolved as per UN Security Council resolutions.
Moreover, the prime minister said Pakistan fought longest war against terrorism, adding they had lost 6,000 troops in the war against terrorism.
Earlier upon his arrival in Muzaffarabad, the AJK President Sardar Masood Khan and Prime Minister AJK Farooq Haider received Prime Minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi.
