MIANWALI, Pakistan: Prime Minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi on Saturday kicked off work on a Sui gas supply project to Isakhel Tehsil of Mianwali and surrounding areas of the NA-71 Constituency.
While addressing a public gathering on the occasion, the prime minister said the Sui gas project had started in Isakhel Tehsil and that was the biggest Sui gas project in the province of Punjab.
The prime minister said Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) government had provided many Sui gas project under the leadership of Nawaz Sharif in the Country in the tenure 2013-18. He said the project would change the situation of that area. He said many employment opportunities would be created under the project.
Khaqan Abbasi also said PML-N government had started and completed many projects in the Country. He said motorway from Hassan Abdal to Dera Ismail Khan was in its completion phase.
“I am very assure that PML-N will get majority votes in next general elections from this Constituency (NA-71),” he said adding the Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif had developed the province in his tenure.
Earlier the prime minister was briefed on the importance and scope of the work of Sui gas supply project in Mianwali.
The project would cost around Rs 2.30 billion comprising indirect funding of Rs 1.2 billion by the government and Rs 1.06 billion indirect funding.
The project, which would benefit the population of 180,000 people, features transmission line of 58 kilometers stretch and distribution network of around 406 kilometers.
