South Africa can’t ask for better than AB de Villiers who earlier failed to appear in first three ODIs over injury issues but now returned to the Side for all important Pink-Day match against dominant India at New Wanderers Stadium in Johannesburg on Saturday.
India lead the six-match ODI series 3-0 and can’t miss the opportunity to make a history at Johannesburg today by securing the first ever ODI series victory on South African soil.

But with the return of AB de Villiers and having an excellent past record at the venue, South Africa may still survive in the series if they win the fourth ODI.
Previously, South Africa won all five Pink-Day One Day Internationals (ODIs) held in Johannesburg.
The star batsman AB de Villiers’ record in Pink ODIs has also been brilliant as he scored 60, 36, 149, 77 and 128 runs in his last innings played at New Wanderers Stadium.
Last time when India and South Africa met in Johannesburg on December 5, 2013, the host after having put a massive total of 358 runs crushed the visitors by 141 runs.
However it wouldn’t be easy at all this time for South Africa to beat India, and they would require to apply some competitive approach especially against Indian wrist spinners Kuldeep Yadav and Yuzvendra Chahal who have so far picked up 21 out of 28 South African wickets.
In addition to that, Indian Skipper Virat Kohli is in supreme touch and in previous three ODIs, he scored 112, 46 and 160 runs with last two remaining unbeaten.
It is a reminder here that South Africa are temporarily being led by Aiden Markram because injuries pushed Faf du Plessis as well as Quinton de Kock out of the series.
