Suspect Nikolas Cruz was former student of Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School who was thrown out of school by administration for his alleged indecent behavior.
Wearing red shirt of Valentine Day, Nikolas Cruz allegedly entered his former school with AR-17 gun and several magazines and started killing whosoever came across his way. The Colt AR-15 is a lightweight, 5.56×45mm, magazine-fed, gas-operated semi-automatic rifle. It is a semi-automatic version of the US military M16 rifle.
“It was the 18th shooting in a U.S. school so far this year, according to gun control group Everytown for Gun Safety”, reported Washington Post.

Police confirmed that five people died outside of the school and 12 were shot inside the building while number of injured students is over 40.

19-year-old Nikolas Cruz was expelled from school for disciplinary reasons and this act of firing could be an act of revenge.
Access to lethal weapons and their insane use has become a serious issue for America but no legislation has done so far to control weapon sale due to lack of political will.
