LAHORE, Pakistan: The ruling Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) is hopeful of sweeping the Senate Elections in the Punjab assembly wherein the polling for 12 Senators is underway on Saturday.
Talking to media persons outside the Punjab assembly in Lahore, the Punjab Law Minister Rana Sanaullah expressed with confidence that all the nominated candidates of PML-N would be victorious, adding the PML-N would win all the 12 Senate seats from Punjab.
The law minister said that the Opposition in the Punjab assembly could bag a seat if they would unitedly support and vote for a candidate.
“We are hopeful that we will win all the general seats as well,” he said.
Rana Sanaullah said there was a strong affiliation between Nawaz Sharif and the people, adding this mutual bond and affection could not be damaged at any cost.
Separately, the Punjab Auqaf and Religious Affairs Minister Zaeem Qadri said while talking to media that Nawaz Sharif was Quaid of the whole Country.
“Every member of PML-N is a soldier of Nawaz Sharif,” he said, adding there was a huge difference between Imran Khan and PML-N.
Zaeem Qadri grumbled that Raja Zafar ul Haq was not allowed to submit the Senate tickets.
