Lahore, Pakistan: President of Pakistan Mamnoon Hussian and President Azad Kashmir Masood Khan have condemned Raiwind suicide blast while Prime Minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi and Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif have directed authorities to provide best possible medical treatment to injured persons. A suicide bomber targeted police camp at Raiwind city, 30 km away from Lahore.
According to available information, a terrorist tried to entered camp of Raiwind congregation but policemen stopped him and suicide bomber blew him up, killing eight persons including five policemen while injuring 12 persons.
Possible target of suicide bomber was Tablighi congregation ground in Raiwind.

Deputy Inspector General (DIG) Operations Punjab Dr Haider Ashraf confirmed that an Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASP) and a Station House Officer (SHO) are among injured persons.
Emergency had been declared in Jinnah Hospital Lahore where injured were moved from the scene. This is first attack of its kind in Lahore in year 2018.
