PoliticsNawaz rules out consultation with PPP over care taker prime minister

ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: The former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif on Thursday voiced disappointment over the recent role of Pakistan People’s Party (PPP), and said after it, consultations couldn’t be held with PPP regarding care taker prime minister.

Talking to media representatives outside the Accountability Court which resumed hearing on Avenfield reference against Sharif family in Islamabad, Nawaz Sharif said the whole matter looked fishy as he was removed from the Office on the basis of Iqama and later he was removed from the party presidentship as well.

“The nation knows why it was necessary to do so. What was the reason for bringing change in the Balochistan assembly,” he said.

Nawaz Sharif said everyone should have fulfilled his/her Constitutional responsibilities. He said he had already said that he went to the Supreme Court only once in Memogate issue.

The former prime minister said Bilawal Bhutto was wrong in saying that Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz-Nawaz (PML-N) had stepped back from the Charter of Democracy (CoD). He said the National Reconciliation Ordinance (NRO) was made after the CoD had already been harmed a lot.

Meanwhile talking to media, the PML-N leader Pervaiz Rasheed said Nawaz Sharif had said they would provide jobs and bring prosperity in the Country, and he fulfilled all his promises.

Pervaiz Rasheed said Nawaz Sharif had been appearing before the Court for fulfilling his promises.
