ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: The Federal Minister for Education and Professional Training Muhammad Baligh Ur Rehman has said the youth is very vital for the success of China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) where we need skilled manpower to undertake various roles in the future development projects.
“Future of our youth is bright due to CPEC,” the minister said while addressing the ground breaking ceremony of Sir Syed CASE Institute of Technology, B-17 Campus, Islamabad on Wednesday.
Baligh Ur Rehman said that Pakistan is moving on the path of progress and the future of our youth is bright. He said that youth are the biggest asset of Pakistan and the investment in youth is important for the bright future of Country.
The minster said that lots of betterments are attached with the establishment of any educational institution. He said that the present government has greatly focused on education and increased funding for education sector.
The federal minister said that the number of out of school children phenomenally decreased in the Country and the enrolment in schools has increased.
Baligh said that academia-industry link is vital for our economic growth and national prosperity. “Our Universities should have links with industry,” he said.
Talking about value of research, Baligh Ur Rehman emphasized the need of applied research.
Furthermore, he said that character building of the students is also very important and we will have to make them able to understand the difference between right and wrong.
The minister said that students will also have to equip themselves with knowledge and become life-long learners along with clarity of purpose before them.
The federal minister said that the government believes in establishing public-private partnership for introducing new concepts and best practices in the Country.
The Federal Minister Baligh Ur Rehman congratulated the team of Engineering Education Trust and CASE (Center for Advanced Studies in Engineering) for establishing Sir Syed CASE Institute of Technology.
