DUSHANBE, Tajikistan: The State Minister for Water and Power Abid Sher Ali has reaffirmed that Pakistan is committed to the early materialization of Central Asia South Asia (CASA-1000), a four-nation 1,000-megawatt Power Supply Project.
The minister reaffirmed Pakistan’s commitment in this regard when he along with a delegation met the Minister of Energy and Water Resources of Tajikistan Usmonzoda Yunusali at Dushanbe, the Capital of Tajikistan.
During the meeting, the two sides expressed satisfaction at the growing bilateral relations between the two friendly Countries particularly in the areas of energy and connectivity.
The Tajik minister appreciated the efforts made by the project stakeholders which include Pakistan, Tajikistan, Afghanistan and Kyrgyzstan, and expressed hope that if the current pace towards the implementation of the CASA-1000 project is maintained, it will be surely materialized by 2021.
