ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: The Interior Minister Ahsan Iqbal on Saturday said time had come to project Country’s beauty and its culture to the outside World.

In his address at a ceremony held in connection with the launch of two-day Spring Festival in Islamabad, the minister said the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) government was making hectic efforts to project soft image of the Country.

The minister said the federal government would work in cohesion with the provincial governments to promote tourism and sports in the Country.

Ahsan Iqbal further said efforts were afoot to make Islamabad a Model City. He said it had also been decided to establish a special wing for the development of horticulture and parks.

The interior minister said a tree plantation campaign would be launched on Margalla hills on Sunday (April 8) to ensure green look of the Federal Capital.

Separately talking to media representatives in Islamabad, Ahsan Iqbal – who is also the Federal Minister for Planning, Development & Reform – said they had to make China Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) successful as it was golden opportunity of the 21st Century.

The minister said Chinese people were their guests and they were working for the development of Pakistan.

Ahsan Iqbal said all political parties should have declared their manifesto and stop spoiling the respect of other parties. He said it was the second time in the Country’s history that general elections were going to be held on scheduled time.

The federal minister further said the finality of prophet hood was the issue of every Muslim not a single organization or Mullah.
