ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: The Opposition Leader in the National Assembly Syed Khursheed Shah on Monday said New Islamabad International Airport must be associated with the name of Benazir Bhutto; otherwise, they would challenge it in the Supreme Court.

Khursheed Shah made these remarks while talking persons to media in Islamabad.

The New Islamabad International Airport – Pakistan’s first greenfield airport – will become operational for international and domestic flights from April 20. The Y-shaped airport is located 20 kilometers from Zero Point Islamabad and over 25 kilometers from Saddar, Rawalpindi.

Talking to media, Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) senior leader Khursheed Shah further said the coming general elections would depend upon the caretaker prime minister.

Khursheed Shah said the opposition alliance had not yet suggested any name. He said even he didn’t have any name for the caretaker prime minister, adding the name of the interim prime minister would be announced after the party meeting.

The Opposition Leader said he would hold meeting with Prime Minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi on Wednesday regarding the issue of the caretaker prime minister.

Syed Khursheed Shah said they had accepted the 2013 elections as ROs (Returning Officers) elections. He said the PPP was at the front line in 2014 when the Parliament was attacked.
