ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: The Opposition Leader in the National Assembly Syed Khursheed Shah on Tuesday said freedom of expression should not be used against the State, and asked the former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif not to talk against Country’s institutions.
“We believe in dialogue with political parties,” Khursheed Shah said in a statement.
Talking about the names for the caretaker prime minister as proposed by Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), Khursheed Shah said they had received names for the caretaker prime minister from PTI through media.
“Now, there is no importance of a meeting. I am surprised over PTI announcing the names,” he said.
The Opposition Leader said his consultation with PTI leaders was underway. He said announcement of names was the responsibility of the prime minister and the opposition Leader.
On Monday PTI unveiled its nominees for the interim prime minister, and which included the former Chief Justice of the Supreme Court Justice (retd) Tassaduq Hussain Jilani, the former Governor State Bank of Pakistan Ishrat Hussain, and the industrialist Abdul Razzaq Dawood.
