ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: Prime Minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi on Wednesday emphasized on enhancing economic links between Pakistan and Kazakhstan including trade and investment.

Talking to the newly appointed Kazakh ambassador to Pakistan Barlybay Sadykov at the PM’s Office in Islamabad, the prime minister felicitated him on his appointment as Kazakhstan’s new envoy to Pakistan, and hoped that he would contribute towards further strengthening the existing close ties between the two Countries.

The prime minister said Pakistan and Kazakhstan enjoyed close and cordial relations marked by mutual trust and understanding.

Shahid Khaqan Abbasi conveyed his good wishes for the Kazakh leadership as well as for progress and prosperity of the people of Kazakhstan.

Separately, the ambassador of United Arab Emirates (UAE) to Pakistan Hamad Obaid Ibrahim Salem Al-Zaabi also met the prime minister in Islamabad today and discussed the bilateral relations and issues of mutual interest.

During the talks, the prime minister underscored the importance Pakistan accorded to UAE with significant number of expat Pakistanis playing a vital role in development of UAE and serving as a bridge of brotherly relations.

The prime minister appreciated UAE’s development and humanitarian assistance provided to Pakistan, particularly in the far flung areas.

Khaqan Abbasi expressed satisfaction over the increasing volume of trade between Pakistan and UAE.
