ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: Prime Minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi on Thursday said the Digital Skill Program was the need of the hour and it would help women progress and prosper.

In his address at Ceremony of Digital Skill Program launched to impart computer knowledge to women in Islamabad, the prime minister said the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) government was committed to empower women in all fields. He said women played pivotal role in the national progress.

The prime minister appreciated the role of the Information Ministry and other stakeholders in the launching of Digital Skill Program, and said the program was exemplary for other provinces.

He said under the program, women would receive training in latest technology in their own areas. He said the World had changed now, and the people could play productive roles for the society by sitting at their homes.

Shahid Khaqan Abbasi further said the government wanted to expand the latest internet facilities all over the Country.

In addition, he said after the 18th amendment in the Constitution, education became a provincial matter; however, provinces didn’t heed much attention to the education.
