ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: The embattled former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif on Wednesday lashed out at Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), saying it was a party which always looked towards umpire’s finger.
Holding informal talk with media representatives at Accountability Court in Islamabad, Nawaz Sharif said PTI neither had any role nor any ideology.
The former prime minister said PTI was a party which was fond of disgracing others. He said in PTI, there was no concept of honoring the vote.
Furthermore Nawaz Sharif said the people of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa had seen their change. He said PTI did nothing in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa in its five-year tenure.
Nawaz Sharif’s harsh criticism against PTI comes as the Chairman PTI Imran Khan doesn’t seem letting mounting pressure on the former prime minister get lessened.
Following a controversial interview given by Nawaz Sharif to Dawn, Imran Khan put forward fresh demands against the former, seeking the initiation of article 6 proceedings against him and placing his name on the Exit Control List (ECL).
