LAHORE, Pakistan: The Chief Justice of Pakistan Justice Mian Saqib Nisar on Monday ordered to restore the national identity card (CNIC) and Passport of the former President General (retd) Pervez Musharraf so that he could return to Pakistan.

While hearing a case regarding the former president’s return to Pakistan at Lahore Registry of the Supreme Court, the Chief Justice also ordered not to arrest Pervez Musharraf from airport to the court on his return.

Earlier, during the hearing, the Chairman of National Database & Registration Authority (NADRA) Usman Mobin told the honorable court that the former president cannot return to country due to blockage of his CNIC and Passport.

The Chief Justice said that the former president should return and face the court cases filed against him. He ordered to setup a tribunal in two days for a trial against Pervez Musharraf.
