SUKKUR, Pakistan: The Chairman Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) Bilawal Bhutto Zardari has said that in democracy there should not be an impression of revenge, adding that democracy is meant to protect basic rights.

While addressing media representatives in Sukkur on Thursday, Bilawal said that this has been a biggest achievement that we are moving towards the second general elections under civilian rule.

“We are moving towards the transfer of power,” Bilawal Bhutto said.

The Chairman PPP said that the Contesting Candidates are still being threatened and terrorized.

Bilawal Bhutto said that there are still many weaknesses in the Country which can’t be ignored. He said that basic rights can’t be ignored, and it requires the strengthening of democracy to ensure provision of basic rigths to the masses.

Bilawal said that the public has highly supported me during the 2018 election campaign. He said that PPP has been a farmer and labor friendly party.

“PPP wants action against only those who were involved in Lyari conspiracy,” he added.

Furthermore, he said that 5th July is a black day in Pakistan’s history as martial law was imposed in Pakistan on this day in 1977 by the former military dictator Ziaul Haq.
