KARACHI: Pakistan: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf’s (PTI) Imran Ismail was sworn in as the 33th Governor of Sindh province in Karachi on Monday.
The Chief Justice of the Sindh High Court (SHC) Justice Ahmed Ali Sheikh administered the Oath to Imran Ismail at the Governor House in Karachi.
The swearing in ceremony was attended by the Chief Minister Sindh Syed Murad Ali Shah, the PTI nominated Candidate for President Dr Arif Alvi, the Deputy Speaker National Assembly Qasim Suri, members of the provincial Cabinet and provincial and federal assemblies and other notables.

Imran Ismail was elected as a member of the Sindh assembly from PS-111 Karachi (South-V) in general elections 2018 on PTI’s platform. He resigned as the Sindh Assembly members earlier this morning as according to article 103 of the Constitution, his provincial assembly seat had to become vacant the day he became the governor.
