KARACHI: A day of mourning is being observed across Sindh on the call of the Awami National Party (ANP) on Saturday against the deadly blast that killed at least 11 people and injured around 50 in Karachi’s Mominabad area on Friday night, Dispatch News Desk (DND) reported.
ANP Sindh chief Shahi Syed appealed to people of Karachi to mark the day of mourn peacefully keeping their businesses open and transport on the roads.
Shahi Syed announced that he would lodge an FIR against the caretaker government, IG Sindh and Election Commission over killing of ANP workers.
While ANP head Asfandyar Wali strongly condemned Friday’s bomb blast on ANP’s corner meeting in Karachi and termed it a battle between two mindset.
Wali said that liberal democratic parties were being barred from taking part in the coming general election. But he made it clear that ANP would participate in the election at every cost.
“We will defeat this mindset of extremism and terrorism,” he said.
