ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: The Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi on Tuesday emphasised the need to forge mutually beneficial relations between Pakistan and United Arab Emirates (UAE) in all areas.
Talking to his UAE Counterpart Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan who made telephonic call to him today, Shah Mahmood Qureshi paid tribute to Late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, as the architect of Pakistan-UAE relations, and observed that UAE was Pakistan’s most important trade and investment partner in the Gulf.
FM received a call from FM of UAE. Both sides agreed to explore all avenues for attaining true potential of Pakistan-UAE relations, including leadership level contacts and regular engagement under the umbrella of JMC.

Sheikh Abdullah congratulated the foreign minister on assuming the office and wished him success for his new assignment.
The UAE foreign minister also expressed the desire to work closely with the leadership of Pakistan, to revive the traditional exemplary relations that existed between Pakistan and UAE.
Both the foreign minister agreed to enhance leadership level contacts between the two Countries and meet on the sidelines of the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA).
Shah Mahmood Qureshi conveyed his greetings and best wishes for the continued peace, progress and prosperity of the people of UAE.
