FAISALABAD, Pakistan: The Punjab Health Minister Dr. Yasmin Rashid has said that more 4200 doctors and 6200 nurses will be recruited through the Punjab Public Service Commission (PPSC) in the health department by December 15, 2018 (doctors recruitment in Punjab).
Talking to the media during a visit to a hospital in Faisalabad on Wednesday, Dr. Yasmin Rashid said that the departmental practice of doctors is being introduced in the big hospitals affiliated with five health universities.
Dr. Yasmin Rashid said that round-the-clock medical facilities are being provided in 2400 basic health centers while new gynae hospitals will be set up in Attock, Mianwali, Bahawalnagar, Rajanpur and Bhakkar.
World Diabetes Day being observed today
Meanwhile, “World Diabetes Day” is being observed across the globe including Pakistan today with aims to raise awareness about the impact of diabetes on the family.
The theme of “World Diabetes Day” this year is “The Family and Diabetes” which is aimed at creating awareness about the impact of the disease and how to provide a support network to those who are affected by diabetes.

In his message in connection with “World Diabetes Day”, the Punjab Chief Minister Sardar Usman Buzdar said that precautions and measure to control the diabetes disease are in top priorities of government.
The Chief Minister said that the purpose is to mark this day is to highlight awareness among the people regarding the prevention of diabetes.
