Prime Minister Imran Khan and the Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Qamar Javed Bajwa on Monday reached in Miran Shah, a town and administrative headquarters of North Waziristan agency.

Upon their arrival, they were briefed on the security situation, ongoing stability operations, socio-economic projects and the rehabilitation of temporarily displaced persons (TDPs).

In a statement, the Director General Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR) Major General Asif Ghafoor said that the prime minister will later visit Ghulam Khan Terminal/border fencing and address Jirga of local elders at Miran Shah.

The Governor Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Shah Farman, the Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Mahmood Khan and the Federal Minister for Defence Pervez Khattak also accompanied the prime minister during his visit to Miran Shah.
