Islamabad, Pakistan: The Federal Minister for Inter Provincial Coordination (IPC) Fahmida Mirza visited embassy of Azerbaijan here in Islamabad on Wednesday.
According to The REPORT News Agency of Azerbaijan, Fahmida Mirza underlined the special relationship between Pakistan and Azerbaijan and emphasized the importance of further development of friendship and brotherhood.
During her meeting with Ali Alizada, Ambassador of the Republic of Azerbaijan she was of the view that cooperation in the field of youth exchange and sports is possible between Pakistan and Azerbaijan.
“Noting that Azerbaijan’s hosting of a grand international sporting event such as European Games, Islamic Solidarity Games is praiseworthy, the federal minister stressed that Pakistan can benefit from Azerbaijan’s achievements in the field of sports, expertise in advanced sports, and retirement programs for young people”, reported the REPORT News Agency.
During her meeting, Pakistani Federal Minister expressed full support of Pakistan to Azerbaijan on Armenian-Azerbaijani Nagorno-Karabakh conflict, and stated that Pakistan stands with Azerbaijan at every international forum.
It may be mentioned that Pakistan and Azerbaijan enjoys excellent bilateral diplomatic relations and Pakistan does not have diplomatic relations with Armenia due to Armenian aggression on Azerbaijan while Azerbaijan stands with Pakistan over Kashmir conflict.
The bilateral trade between Azerbaijan and Pakistan is increasing constantly.
