MULTAN, Pakistan: The owner of PSL Sixth Team Ali Khan Tareen has sought suggestions from the people to name his team in the forthcoming fourth Edition of franchised-based Pakistan Super League (PSL).
Ali Tareen won the franchise rights for the PSL Sixth Team by paying US $5.2 million in a bid held on November 20.
“Please send in your suggestions. The person whose suggestion we accept will be invited to watch a match with us and will get a big jhappi (optional),” Ali Tareen said in a twitter message on Saturday.
Last year Multan Sultans vied for the title under the Captaincy of Shoaib Malik but ended at fifth position. Later the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) terminated the contract with Schon Properties Broker LLC, the owner of Multan Sultans, over their inability to meet its financial obligations.
Reference to re-naming Multan Sultans, Ali Tareen said that they would ‘keep the name of Multan. But we can change ‘Sultans’.
We will keep the name of Multan. But we can change ‘Sultans’. We want a name that represents #SouthPunjab & captures it’s spirit. Please send in your suggestions. The person whose suggestion we accept will be invited to watch a match with us and will get a big jhappi(optional).
