LAHORE, Pakistan: The Lahore police will deploy 10,000 personnel in the City on New Year Night and has warned strict actions against violators of law.
In a statement on Monday in Lahore, the Deputy Inspector General (DIG) Operations Lahore Muhammad Waqas Nazir urged the police officers to ensure the implementation of the security plan devised for New Year Night.
The DIG Operations also stressed upon citizens to avoid resorting to one wheeling, aerial firing and display of fireworks. He said that formerly registered one wheelers have been asked to submit bail bonds.

Meanwhile, the Chief Minister Punjab Sardar Usman Buzdar has directed the Cabinet Committee for Law and Order to ensure best arrangements in view of New Year.
Usman Buzdar directed that fool proof security measures be taken to protect lives and properties of the people. He said that an indiscriminate action must be taken against those who resort to aerial firing.
