MUSCAT, Oman: The Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi held a meeting with Oman’s Deputy Prime Minister Sayyid Fahd bin Mahmoud al Said in Muscat on Thursday, in which they agreed to further strengthen Pakistan-Oman relations through bilateral trade and promotion of investment.
In the meeting, the two dignitaries exchanged views on bilateral relations and regional situation besides issues of regional and global importance.
During the meeting, the foreign minister took Oman’s deputy prime minister on board about Pakistan’s viewpoint on key regional issues including Afghanistan.
Shah Mahmood Qureshi said that Pakistan highly values the Pak-Oman relationship.
Oman’s deputy prime minister eulogized the role of Pakistani Community residing there in the development of Qatar.

Shah Mahmood Qureshi accompanied by a 12-member delegation is currently in Oman, wherein he has already met his Omani Counterpart Yusuf bin Alawi, Omani Minister of Royal Office General Sultan bin Mohammed al-Naamani, and the Executive President of SRF and the Chairman of Pak-Oman Investment Company.
The foreign minister will also participate in a mega reception for Pakistani Community in Oman.
