ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: The Central Secretary Information Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Omer Sarfaraz Cheema has slammed Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) leader Syed Khursheed Shah, saying that the PPP’s government in 2008 was a result of a National Reconciliation Ordinance (NRO) with the former military dictator Pervez Musharraf.
Responding to the statement of Khursheed Shah on Monday, Omer Sarfaraz Cheema said that PPP and Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) not only share typical way of politics but also have striking resemblance in their corruption modus operandi.
Taking a jibe at PPP leader, he said that it’s ironic to see Khursheed Shah defending and advocating Nawaz Sharif.
Omer Sarfaraz Cheema said that instead of celebrating likelihood of Nawaz Sharif’s bail, Khursheed Shah must advise Nawaz Sharif to return the looted money.
“Both PPP and PML-N must learn the fact that people want fair accountability of those who looted country’s resources”, he said.
Meanwhile, a delegation of PTI’s ticket holders from Gujranwala called on PTI Central Secretary General Arshad Dad at Central Secretariat in Islamabad, and held a detailed discussion on issues related to organizational matters of the party.
Speaking at the occasion, Arshad Dad said that Gujranwala is one of the most important districts and had a pivotal role in the politics of Central Punjab.
The PTI secretary general said that reorganizing process of the party is underway and soon new organizational structure will be announced.
