ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: Pakistan has proposed India to arrange exchange of visits of their respective delegations to each other’s country to finalize the draft agreement for the Kartarpur Corridor, the Foreign Office Spokesman Dr Mohammad Faisal said.

In a tweet on Thursday, Dr Faisal said that Pakistan proposed to India that its delegation may visit New Delhi on March 13, and as part of the exchange agreement, an Indian delegation may arrive in Islamabad on March 28.

“In a spirit of constructive engagement #Pakistan has proposed to India that the Pakistan delegation may visit India on 13 March followed by the return visit of the Indian delegation to Pakistan on 28 March to finalize the draft agreement for the kartarpur corridor,” Dr Faisal tweeted.

Earlier in the day, the Information Minister Fawad Chaudhry told media following the Federal Cabinet meeting in Islamabad that a Committee headed by the Punjab Governor Chaudhary Muhammad Sarwar has been constituted to oversee the development of infrastructure related to Kartarpur corridor.

Fawad Chaudhry said that the Sikh Community across the World are expressing great interest to make investments in Kartarpur Corridor related projects such as construction of hotels and other facilities. He said that we want to streamline the whole process and the governor Punjab will look into it.
