Raza Bashir Tarar Presents Credential to Canadian Governor GeneralOTTAWA, Canada: Pakistan’s new High Commissioner to Canada Raza Bashir Tarar presented his credentials to Governor General of Canada Julie Payette at a ceremony held at Quebec, Canada.

While presenting the credentials, the High Commissioner expressed his determination to work hard towards fostering strong bilateral ties between Pakistan and Canada.

Raza Bashir Tarar also highlighted the need to enhance people to people contact and trade and investment links between the two countries.

The High Commissioner conveyed the greetings of Pakistan’s leadership to the Governor General Payette, who reciprocated with similar positive sentiments for the President and the Prime Minister of Pakistan.

Raza Bashir Tarar has held various diplomatic assignments in Pakistan Missions abroad: Manila (1991-1994), Brussels (1999-2002), Tokyo (2003-2004) and New York (UN) (2008-2013). He has also served as High Commissioner of Pakistan to Kenya from August 2015 to February 2019.
