ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: The Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi has emphasized that one of the founding ideologies behind the South Asian Association for Regional Cooperation (SAARC) was to bring regional Countries together and it should play a role for peace and security in the region, the Dispatch News Desk (DND) news agency reported.
Holding a telephonic contact with his Nepalese Counterpart Pradeep Kumar Gyawali on Saturday, Qureshi discussed the regional peace and security situation, and said that the purpose of SAARC forum is to bring regional Countries closer.

Shah Mahmood Qureshi said that SAARC should play its role for restoration of peace in South Asia.
The foreign minister also said that Pakistan values South Asian and neighboring Countries for promotion of peace.
Pradeep Kumar Gyawali said that establishing peace in the region is everyone’s mutual responsibility. He said that we believe that keeping peace is equally beneficial for all.
