ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: The Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Central Secretary Information Omer Sarfaraz Cheema has said that Prime Minister Imran Khan has emerged as an anti-war and peace-loving statesman.
In a statement, Omer Cheema lauded the announcement of release of captive Indian pilot Wing Commander Abhinandan by Prime Minister Imran Khan, and said that Pakistani leadership has extended hand of diplomacy towards India.
Terming the announcement of release of Indian pilot, a diplomatic and moral win, Omer Sarfaraz Cheema said that Pakistan’s efforts and desire for peace must not be considered its weakness.
“Pakistan’s desire for peace shouldn’t be misconstrued as weakness,” he said.
Omer Cheema said that by announcing that the captured Indian pilot will soon be released, Imran Khan paved the way for de-escalation.
The PTI Central Secretary Information urged the Modi government to respond to Imran Khan’s call for dialogue positively and refrain from sabotaging regional peace through mindless war mongering.
Meanwhile, Senator Faisal Javed Khan also said that Prime Minister Imran Khan has shown an extra ordinary gesture in international relations that despite no obligation to return a prisoner of war (POW) till armed conflict or hostilities are formally over, he has chosen to adopt a statesman like approach and decided to repatriate Indian pow.
Faisal Javed said that Prime Minister Imran Khan has taken a bold decision.
