WorldBlast in Mexican state oil company building leaves 15 persons dead

Mexico: As many as Fifteen people were killed and 100 injured after a blast in  headquarters of Pemex, a state-owned Mexican oil company, in Mexico City. The Mexican government has taken over the administration of the building.

“Unfortunately at the moment there are a confirmed 14 people dead,” the official Pemex Twitter account said a few hours after the blast, while Mexico’s Foro TV reported that at least 100 were injured. The Red Cross was urgently seeking blood donors to help the injured Thursday.

Another victim of the explosion, which is thought to have been the result of a gas buildup in the building’s basement, died while being transferred to hospital.
