ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: The Prime Minister’s Special Assistant on Political Affairs Naeem-ul-Haq has said that the passage of federal finance bill in the National Assembly despite opposition’s shenanigans is an achievement of Prime Minister Imran Khan and his Cabinet.
While responding to Shahbaz Sharif’s statement regarding mid-term elections, Naeem-ul-Haq said that losers of general elections 2018 cannot afford another defeat.
Commenting on opposition’s hue and cry during budget session in the Lower House of the Parliament, Naeem-ul-Haq said that despite opposition’s conspiracies, the finance bill is passed and attributed it as a major success of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) government and its allies.
“Joint opposition including Shahbaz Sharif blatantly threatened to impede passage of budget and whole nation has witnessed how opposition sought to disrupt parliamentary proceedings”, he said adding that opposition behavior during budget session exposed its agenda of chaos and anarchy.
Naeem-ul-Haq went on to add that both leading opposition parties held parliament hostage for weeks over the issue of chairmanship of Public Accounts Committee (PAC).
Referring to opposition’s All Parties Conference (APC) in Islamabad, the PTI leader said that the gist of APC was to instigate chaos.
Commenting on opposition’s threat to de-seat the Chairman Senate, he categorically mentioned that the attempts to hijack/undermine state institutions will be countered.
“Neither will we be deterred by vicious designs of criminals nor will give any relief to them in the ongoing accountability”, the PTI leader concluded.
