Update Ferry Capsized Near Barag Village, Haripur
A ferry carrying 35 passengers capsized near Barag Village, 9 km upstream of Tarbela Dam on Wednesday.
Assistance from Army was called by civil administration for rescue and recovery operation.
24 Special Services Group (SSG) of Pakistan who are deep sea divers have been sent to the incident site.
As man as 11 individuals have been rescued alive while 3 dead bodies have been recovered. Search operation in progress for remaining individuals. However, darkness is hampering rescue operation. More update are awaited.
