ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: The ruling Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) is celebrating “Yaum-e-Tashakkur” (Thanksgiving Day) on Thursday (July 5) to commemorate its victory in general elections 2018.

In a statement, the PTI Chief Organizer Saifullah Khan Niazi has instructed the central and provincial leadership of the party to prepare for the celebration of historical win of PTI in general elections.

Saifullah Khan Niazi said that workers would offer Nawafils to thank Almighty Allah while sweets would also be distributed in the Country.

Meanwhile in a series of tweets, the Prime Minister’s Special Assistant on Information and Broadcasting Dr Firdous Ashiq Awan said that the aspirations of the people and 23-year political struggle of Imran Khan bore fruit in the general elections of last year.

Dr Firdous Ashiq Awan said that the people gave mandate to Imran Khan for accountability and today is the day of triumph. She said that it is the day of defeat for those who plundered the public money.

The special assistant said that those who used the politics for loot and plunder are being brought to justice. She said that the nation has rejected their dynastic politics.

Dr Firdous further said that July 25 is the day when the people rejected the dynastic politics and thrown out those from the system who used politics for financial gains. She regretted that two political parties by playing the game of taking turns in power badly exploited the masses.
